Neighbourhood Centre Week Panel Discussion

NCW Panel Discussion
LCSA members are invited to join us for an online panel discussion during Neighbourhood Centre Week 2022 on the theme of 'Building resilience by bringing people together'.

Tuesday, 10 May 2022
9:30 AM - 11:00 AM

Over the last two years it has become evident that ‘social connection’ is intricately entwined with a community's ability to change and adapt to their circumstances (i.e. develop resilience).

This is reflected in this year’s Neighbourhood Centre Week (NCW) theme, ‘Building resilience by bringing people together’.

Neighbourhood Centres are in a unique position to build social capital by establishing social mechanisms, structures and institutions that sustain strong communities over the long term.

We all know that after two and a half years of COVID and escalating disasters, our world has changed and we need to be adaptive to deliver services differently to match the changed circumstances and re-engage isolated people who are not as willing to be involved.

Agenda

To celebrate Neighbourhood Centre Week 2022, LCSA is facilitating an online panel discussion for members, which will highlight the opportunities and importance of engaging with community during challenging times.

Hosted by Can Yasmut (EO, Local Community Services Association), our panel of guest speakers include:
