Originally from the UK, Elaine came to Australia in 2003 and started working in specialist homeless services. Fast forward 20 years and she is now CEO of Newtown Neighbourhood Centre.
Newtown Neighbourhood Centre is a not-for-profit incorporated association serving Sydney’s inner western suburbs. It exists to create a more vibrant, connected and equitable community.
Elaine has 30 years' experience in working with marginalized and disadvantaged communities and 20 years' experience in leadership roles. She is a passionate community leader who enjoys engaging communities, collaborating and leading collective action to cultivate more connected communities.
